Loopress Brand Assets -- Trademark and Usage Policy

The logos, icons, and brand assets in this directory are NOT covered by the
MPL 2.0 or GPL-2.0-or-later licenses that govern the rest of this project.
They are protected under applicable trademark and copyright law.

These marks may be revised or updated. The current version of this policy
always supersedes prior versions.


1. PERMITTED USES (no prior permission required)

You may use the Loopress name and logos to:

a) Truthfully refer to, describe, or link to the Loopress project,
   its software, or its documentation, provided such use is accurate
   and not misleading.

b) Indicate that your product, service, or content is compatible with
   or built upon Loopress open source code, using formulations such
   as "compatible with Loopress" or "based on Loopress."

c) Create editorial content -- including blog posts, articles, tutorials,
   videos, and presentations -- that discuss or explain Loopress,
   provided the content is non-commercial or educational in nature and
   does not imply official affiliation or endorsement.


2. PROHIBITED USES (require prior written permission)

You may not use the Loopress name, logos, or any confusingly similar
marks to:

a) Name or brand a commercial product, service, company, or domain in a
   way that suggests it is an official, affiliated, or endorsed Loopress
   offering.

b) Incorporate the logos or name into your own product branding, company
   logo, or marketing materials.

c) Suggest or imply sponsorship, partnership, affiliation, or endorsement
   by the Loopress project or its maintainers.

d) Display the Loopress logos more prominently than your own branding
   in any product or service context.

e) Modify, abbreviate, distort, or combine the logos with other symbols,
   words, or images in a way that creates a new or derivative mark.

f) Use the marks in advertising, paid search, or promotional campaigns
   without explicit written authorization.


3. PROPER ATTRIBUTION

When referencing Loopress under the permitted uses above, include the
following notice where reasonable:

  "Loopress is a trademark of Maxime Blanc."


4. RATIONALE

Trademark rights exist to protect users and contributors from confusion
about the origin and integrity of software. Failing to enforce these rights
risks losing them. This policy is not intended to restrict legitimate
community use; it is intended to prevent misrepresentation and protect the
project's identity.
